Pickleball Cosmos uses an institutional editorial byline rather than publishing individual contributor identities. That is a privacy choice, not a substitute for evidence, attribution or corrections.
Why we use an institutional byline
Pickleball Cosmos is built as a publication rather than a founder-led personality site. Individual contributor identities are not part of the public editorial product. Readers should therefore judge our work by what can be inspected: the governing rule, the underlying dataset, the calculation, the manufacturer specification, the approval record, the testing disclosure and the correction history.
We do not create fictional staff profiles, invented expert credentials or pseudonymous authorities to manufacture trust.
What readers should be able to verify

Rules desk
Rules coverage starts with the current official rulebook and governing-body material. We separate the operative rule from common shorthand, recreational convention and proposed future changes. When a precise edge case matters, the governing text controls over our summary.
Data desk
Primary research publishers, governing bodies and first-party records are preferred where available. Estimates, reported observations and Pickleball Cosmos calculations are labeled as different evidence types. Missing historical observations are not silently interpolated and presented as measured facts.
Gear desk
Gear coverage distinguishes manufacturer specifications, governing-body approval records, independent measurements and hands-on testing. Those categories are not blended into a false impression of first-hand experience. A ranking or recommendation can be based on documented evidence and fit without pretending it came from court testing.
Commercial independence
Affiliate relationships, sponsorships, samples and manufacturer access do not determine editorial conclusions. Relevant commercial relationships are disclosed where they could reasonably affect a reader's assessment of the work. A commission is not evidence that a product is better.
Updates and corrections
Material factual errors are corrected. Rules, approval status, rankings, warranty terms, prices and datasets can also change after publication; when that materially changes the answer, the page should be updated and dated accordingly. See our corrections policy.
How to read a Cosmos article
For consequential claims, look for the source box, methodology note, update date and any explicit limitation. Our objective is not to ask readers to trust an invisible expert. It is to make the evidence trail strong enough that the important parts of the work can be checked.
