Corrections policy

Factual errors are corrected. Material updates are dated. Changing source material is distinguished from mistakes in the original reporting.

How to submit a correction

Email pickleball.hero7@gmail.com with the page URL, the specific claim at issue and the best available supporting source. We review substantiated requests and date material corrections or updates.

Factual errors

When a material factual error is identified, we correct the page. If the correction changes the substance of a reader's understanding, the modification date should be updated and the revised wording should not be presented as though it had always appeared that way.

Routine updates

Not every change is a correction. Rules, warranty terms, approval status and participation figures can change after an article is published. Updating a page to reflect a new source is an editorial update and should carry a new verification or modification date when the change is material.

Disputed claims

When credible sources conflict, we show the disagreement rather than silently selecting the number or interpretation that produces the neatest answer. Definitions and source quality should be visible to the reader.

Gear and approval status

A paddle's approval status can change. Coverage should distinguish historical approval from current approval and should not treat an old logo, retailer listing or archived manufacturer claim as proof of present tournament eligibility.

Data revisions

If a primary source revises a dataset, we prefer the corrected source series and update affected analysis. An obsolete figure is not preserved merely because an earlier Pickleball Cosmos article used it.
