Dataset use terms
Pickleball Cosmos publishes datasets that can combine our own calculations and normalization work with facts or observations drawn from third-party sources. Those layers do not necessarily carry the same rights.
What Pickleball Cosmos creates
Depending on the dataset, Pickleball Cosmos may create calculations, derived metrics, rankings, normalization rules, field definitions, explanatory metadata, charts and editorial analysis. Where those elements are original to Pickleball Cosmos, they may be quoted or referenced with clear attribution and a link to the relevant dataset landing page.
Third-party source inputs
Some datasets incorporate facts or observations obtained from third-party sources such as governing bodies, public agencies, research publishers or commercial directories. Pickleball Cosmos does not represent that it owns those underlying source inputs and does not grant permission to reuse them beyond whatever rights independently apply.
No blanket open-data license
Unless a specific dataset page expressly states otherwise, publication on Pickleball Cosmos does not place the complete dataset into the public domain or under a blanket Creative Commons license. A downloadable file is provided for transparency and reproducibility; its availability should not be interpreted as a transfer of third-party rights.
Attribution
When citing a Pickleball Cosmos dataset, identify Pickleball Cosmos, the dataset name and version or date, and link to the dataset landing page where practical. Source attribution embedded in the dataset or methodology should be preserved when discussing third-party inputs.
Commercial republication
For substantial republication, redistribution or commercial reuse of a Cosmos dataset, users should independently confirm that they have the rights required for every underlying source component. Pickleball Cosmos cannot grant rights it does not own.
