Pickleball Court Dimensions: 20 × 44 Feet
The official pickleball court size, kitchen dimensions and why the geometry changes the sport.
A regulation pickleball court is 20 feet wide and 44 feet long. The playing area is the same size for singles and doubles.
The kitchen
The non-volley zone extends 7 feet from the net on each side, creating a 14-foot band across the middle of the playing surface.
Why the dimensions matter
The compact court keeps opponents close together. That reduces reaction time, increases the value of precise placement and makes net exchanges unusually important compared with larger racquet-sport courts.
